Emblem, President Republic of Kosovo

The Emblem used by the President of Kosovo is based on the Presidential flag of Kosovo, introduced by Ibrahim Rugova in 2000, when the country was under UN administration. It is a golden-ringed red disk with the Albanian eagle, surmounted by a six-pointed golden star, holding a ribbon with the legend “Dardania”; this was the name of an ancient region in the same general area as Kosovo. Around the disk is, on a blue background in golden capital letters, “Emblem of the President of the Republic of Kosovo” in Albanian.
